    What are the eligibility criteria required to apply for FSSAI Exam?

    FSSAI released the recruitment notification for the posts of Technical Officer, Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO), Assistant Manager, Assistant, IT Assistant, Assistant Manager, Food Analyst and other posts. However, to be able to apply online for FSSAI exam, you would need to have a clear knowledge of the FSSAI eligibility criteria for each post.

    Age Limits for FSSAI: Upper & Lower Age Limit

    Educational Qualifications for the FSSAI Exam

    To apply for any of the FSSAI posts/openings, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. The educational requirements vary depending on the position for which the candidates are applying. The following are the minimum educational requirements for each position:

    Posts Minimum Qualification
    Central Food Safety Officer Oil Technology, Degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Agricultural Sciences,Microbiology or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or medicine

    Candidates who have a valid GATE or CSIR score will be given an edge.

    Assistant A bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in any field is required.
    Junior Assistant Grade-I 12th grade, with a passing grade from a recognised board
    Hindi Translator A recognised board must award you a master’s degree in Hindi or English.
    Personal Assistant A bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution is required.
    Assistant Manager (IT) A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science from a reputable college or institution is required.

    Candidates must have worked in the appropriate profession for at least three years.

    IT Assistant Bachelor degree in Information Technology
    Assistant Manager Journalism or psychology as a postgraduate degree

    or a bachelor’s degree in library science with at least two years of library experience

    Food Analyst A master’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry, microbiology, food science, or dairy chemistry is required.

    A applicant who has a bachelor’s degree in dairy, oil, or veterinary science is preferred.

    Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in the field.

    Candidates who have a valid GATE or CSIR score will be given preference.

    Technical Officer The position requires a master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or food technology, food and nutrition, dairy technology, microbiology, or any relevant discipline in the life sciences.

    Eligibility Criteria for the FSSAI Exam are based on nationality.

    Although it is apparent that the positions are solely available to Indian citizens. Candidates from other nations can, however, apply for the position. Candidates who are citizens of the following countries are also eligible to apply for the following positions:

    • An Indian national
    • Nepalese national
    • Bhutanese national
    • Any Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before to January 1, 1962 with the goal of living there.
    • Anyone who has moved to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or any other east African country with the goal of staying permanently in India.
